Mark joined Roehampton Veterinary Clinic in October 2018 with a wealth of 37 years experience as a veterinary surgeon. Mark is equipped with an equal skill set to Richard in handling complex medical cases and is a highly skilled surgeon in both; orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery.
Mark loves being able to help his patients live life to the full and enjoys helping their owners with making the decisions to achieve this. Advanced surgery and medicine need to go hand in hand with compassion and understanding.
Mark qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 1981 and after 2 years in mixed general practice discovered that Small Animal Surgery was his passion. He has undertaken several advanced surgical courses in the US. He set up and ran a successful veterinary practice for 32 years based on the premise of always giving the greatest care to his patients. He has won the VetDynamics Personal Achievement Award for his ability “to think outside the box”. As well as being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, he is an advisor on boards both inside and outside the veterinary field.
Mark enjoys nothing more than dog walking in all weathers; his mantra is “to raise your spirits just take your dog for a walk and no matter what the weather, watch how much he or she enjoys the experience. That alone is enough to make you realise the simple joys that life can bring.”
